The couple were born in the late 1790s and I am unsure of when they passed. I found a birth record for Emily Gilmore born April 23, 1852 in Grassy, Morgan, KY. My great grandparents are listed under parents/owners. Emily is black. On the 1860 slave schedule, James lists one unnamed, black, 8 year old girl. I believe this is Emily. If my ancestors were alive for the 1870 census, I have yet to find them. I have also been unable to find Emily after the 1860 slave schedule.
