James McCarty died interstate 1856 in Smith County, Texas. His probate record lists "Bonaparte, a boy, 7 (Boney)" who was sold to Dr. D.P. Fowler along with McCarty's land which i believe was roughly 102 acres near Tyler, Smith County, Texas.
