An advertisement in the October 26, 1826 edition of The Charleston Mercury announces the sale of several Negroes belonging to the estate of Ann Lesesne: Hagar ("about 40 years old, a Cook and Washer of unexceptional character"), her son Moses ("about 16") John ("a House Servant, about 21 years of age"), David {"about 19 years of age", described as "an excellent Order"), and Minder ("an elderly Wench"). A "Fellow", a blacksmith, is also mentioned, but it is not clear if Fellow is his actual name.
