Richard Mullington's will dated May 13, 1776 mentions the following slaves by name: "negro mulatto girl named Lucy" to his granddaughter Silence Green; "one negro girl named Bets" to his granddaughter Ann Green; "one negro girl named Phillis" to his grandson Richard Mullington Lewis; and "one negro wench named Moll" to his granddaughter Lucy Lewis.
