- https://wc.rootsweb.com/trees/246350/I10324/-/individual merely mentions the fact that 15 year old William sent a slave family to North Carolina ahead of his own to establish a homestead. It does not say from where the family came. In a letter from Charles A. Moore to Mrs. Jackson dated September 07,1903 Charles states that it's likely that William and his 8 brothers likely came from Ireland to Pennsylvania then went to North Carolina. How long they lived in PA, I don't yet know since they were indentured servants themselves, being prisoners of war.
