1827 Will of Nimrod Evans (all enslaved freed upon death with inheritance and very specific provisions for minors (who are not identified as such) to be removed to a state that allows for free people of color to be apprenticed until they are of age. The will could be interpreted to indicate that all the enslaved are the children of Agness or that her children are limited to a specific group of names out of caution I have erred on the side of the group being Agness's children): Agness and her children Washington, Wellington, Aaron, Powhatan, and Caption John; Josiah commonly called Soy; William commonly called Bill; Jenny and her son Wayne.
