Committed to the jail of Jacksonville, Ala on Saturday the 26th of August, 1854, a Negro woman who calls herself CHANEY, and says she belons to Samuel Alexander, resident somewhere in Floyd County, Georgia. Said Negro woman is about forty or forty-five-years-old, black complexion, and about the ordinary size. The owner is hereby notified to come forward, prove property (by some disinterested person), pay charges and take her away, or she will be dealt with as the law directs. A. Brown, Shff.
