There were around 15 slaves at the time of James Mayberry's death -- estimated by the five (1/3) allotted to his widow Mary as her dower. The five were: Mary, Eliza, Anney, Taylor, Kit. I'm in search of names of the others. Some of these might have been inherited from James's father George Mayberry of Bibb County, Ala.
