PEGGY and child WASHINGTON: purchased at estate sale for William Dunn, Sr., 15 December 1808, Garrard County, Kentucky. William was Nathan's father-in-law. Nathan lived in Garrard County until the late 1830s, then moved to Perryville area of Boyle County, Kentucky, where he died in 1854. Records show Nathan with anywhere from 1 to 10 slaves during his adult life. A mulatto boy, JOHN WILLIAM, was born in Boyle County on August 1, 1852. Unfortunately the mother's name is not recorded. Nathan mentioned three slaves in his will, which he made in February of 1854. He only identified two by name - a negro woman CHARLOTTE - who he left to the heirs of his daughter Rebecca Walden; and MARIAH, a negro girl, who he left to son Samuel Douglass of Lincoln County. The other individual he only identified as being a negro girl, who he left to the heirs of Rebecca Walden. Rebecca's children lived in Perryville, Ky.
